Learning at Work Week: Getting started with Bloomberg In-Person
This session is in the Financial Resources Suite on Floor 2 of Brunel Library (BANN 230a), in the Bannerman Centre building.
Bloomberg is a database available in the Library building which provides access to historical and real time (recent) data and research of many types, including public companies. In this session we will:
- Identify key types of information available in the Bloomberg database, including public company data and research, economic data, and news
- Use Bloomberg terminals to explore options for searching and browsing
- Compare data from multiple companies using Bloomberg functions
- Locate Bloomberg functions that will be of relevance to your interests
- Discuss training options and certifications available for making further use of Bloomberg

Her specialisms include literature searching (including systematic review), secondary data collection (including Bloomberg), market research and referencing.
Alice has research interests in the use of systematic reveiws within social sciences and social media activity at conferences. She is currently working as information specialist on two systematic review research projects.
