OSCOLA Referencing Online
This online session will provide an introduction to OSCOLA referencing and will cover the following:
- What is referencing and why is it important
- How to cite and reference common sources using OSCOLA
- How to set out tables of cases and bibliography
- How to access further guidance (OSCOLA Guides, Cite Them Right, etc)
- Referencing tools to help with the process of OSCOLA referencing (RefWorks etc)
- Q&A
This session is aimed primarily at first year LLB and LLM students who come from a non-law background, but is otherwise open to anyone who might need a refresher on OSCOLA.
The session will feature participatory activities designed to help you learn more effectively. These will generally be limited to responding to questions and/or providing feedback by typing in the chat, and maybe using other features such as whiteboards, Padlet etc. Please be ready to engage, it will make the session much more enjoyable.
