Introduction to Systematic Literature Reviews Online
Systematic Reviews are a type of literature review which are comprehensive and replicable, ensuring that all relevant research is considered for inclusion. This research method, which synthesises empirical research to build authority, originated in health and life sciences and has become increasingly popular in the social sciences, which this workshop will focus on (health and life sciences researchers should look out for the LibSmart: Developing a search strategy for Systematic Review class run by the Life Sciences Librarian). Doctoral Researchers should register via Inkpath.
In this interactive workshop we’ll explore the key traits of systematic literature reviews, discuss the stages that make up good practice, and focus on planning, carrying out and reporting systematic searches. This will included with practical use of Library databases, and reference to relevant tools and guidelines.
