Getting Started with Bloomberg In-Person
This is an extra session, originally intended for EC3000 students but now opened up to all.
The Financial Resources Suite is on floor 1 of the Library, at the front of the building (the far end of the Learning Commons). There are 10 Bloomberg computers in the Financial Resources Suite (each with two monitors).
An introduction to the financial markets database, covering: what’s available, booking a terminal and setting up an account, how to find your way around, and how to get help.

Brief introduction to the Excel add-in
Equity Indices (WEI)
Industries (BI)
Economic data (ECST, BI ECON)
Brief introduction to the BMC (Bloomberg Market Concepts)
